The Emergency Department of Letterkenny University Hospital is under serious strain again today.
According to the INMO’s Trolley Watch, 13 patients are waiting on trolleys and another 5 are waiting for admission on the wards.
This follows after the Emergency Department reached full capacity yesterday afternoon, and they warned patients of long delays.
Across Ireland today, 291 patients are waiting for a hospital bed; 243 of which are in trolleys in E.D.s, and the other 48 in overflow areas.
