There’s a real buzz of excitement ahead of Bump and Baby Expo Letterkenny this Saturday and Sunday, says the career-mum behind the event that boasts all things pregnancy to pre-school.
The North West’s biggest baby fair, in association with Browne’s Autos, will see major retailers such as Mothercare, Smyths and Boots join with niche baby product and service providers to ensure families enjoy everything required from tummy to toddler – all under one roof.
The event features an impressive line-up of expert speakers who will provide helpful tips and essential advice on topics ranging from paediatric first aid to breast feeding and baby nutrition to the signs of labour.
Admission to the family fun event is free for children and €4 for adults with free entry to a big prize giveaway. Doors open from 11am to 5pm each day.
Bump and Baby Expo founder Martina Cullen said excitement is brewing as local mums and dads join the countdown to biggest baby weekend in the North West this year.
“There’s a great buzz surrounding Bump and Baby Expo Letterkenny this Saturday and Sunday. We’re very excited with the wonderful response to the event which promises to be big hit with mums-to- be, mums, dads, kids, grannies, grandas and guardians from all over Donegal.
“The event is designed to guide parents and guardians gracefully through the products and services that matter during this most exciting time of their lives.
“We have assembled a team of experts and leading suppliers of products and services, who are brimming with helpful advice on all things from tummy to toddler.
The local mum-in-business – whose daily routine involves a balancing act of leading a successful HR consultancy while caring for two adorable baby girls – became acutely aware of the need for an informative baby show with everything under one roof after having her first child in 2012.
As a busy working mum she knew just how important it would be to have a one-stop- shop for expert guidance and advice on the best baby products and services available.
“I have two bouncing baby girls, aged one and three and – as anyone with young children will tell you – it can be hard to keep up with the latest information on products, child safety and health matters for mums and babies.
“After having our first child I was surprised at just how difficult it was to find information that’s really essential for parents.
“That’s why at Bump and Baby Expo we have designed our events to be highly informative in all the important things – right from pregnancy to pre-school.”
Bump and Baby Expo Letterkenny on will take place this weekend (August 20 and 21 from 11am to 5pm) and is the first in a series of events planned for 2016 in the North West.
