The Irish Blood Transfusion Service are urging people to donate blood as Letterkenny’s blood donations have been down 30% over the last couple of days.
A blood donation clinic will be open tonight in Trinity Hall, off Cathedral car park, from 2:30pm-5:00pm, and the from 7pm-9:30pm.
Nationally, the supply of blood is running low, especially for groups B-, O+, O-, and A-.
Giving blood can really impact someone’s life as your blood goes towards life-saving transfusions. They also use your red blood cells, plasma and platelets to help people heal from serious trauma, cancer, and surgery.
