A Donegal motorist who forget to put his handbrake on – was left red faced when he was forced to agonisingly watch his car roll off the pier.
The incident occurred yesterday at Ramelton Pier in front of stunned onlookers.
The motorist exited his car, but they failed to put his handbrake on, and as he turned around his car was rolling towards the edge of the pier.
Despite desperate attempts from the motorist and others present , they were unable to prevent the car from rolling off the slipway.
However, locals rallied to the rescue and assisted in retrieving the car from the water a short time after the incident.
