Donegal Ladies
Hard luck to Amber Barrett and the Donegal Senior Ladies team and management who were defeated in the All Ireland Quarter Final on Saturday.
Amber scored a point in the game which Dublin won 1-13 to 2-7 to set up a semi final against Mayo. It was a tremendous effort from all involved and the county and their clubs are very proud of them.
Donegal Minors
Good luck to Shaun Paul Barrett and his Donegal Minors who play Galway in the All Ireland Semi Final this Sunday at 1.30pm in Croke Park.
Good luck also to the clubmen in his backroom team, Darran Nash, Luke Barrett and Conall McFadden as well as Ronan Docherty who is a panel member.
Division 2
Glenfin v CLG BanG
Pairc Tabhoige, Saturday @ 6 & 7pm
In 2013 our Seniors were playing in Division 4, one more win could see them playing Division 1 football in 2017, and for the first time in the Clubs history.
The boys have four games remaining to get those precious 2 points, and the first of those takes place this Saturday when they travel to Pairc Tabhoige to take on Glenfin. It would be brilliant if we could have as much support as possible travelling to the game to get behind the lads for this game! The Seniors throw in at 7pm with the Reserves at 6pm.
Seniors
CLG BnaG 3-11 Naomh Columba 0-13
It was yet another game of two halves for Na Galloglaigh as they scored 2-7 in the second half to get the better of a lively and intense Naomh Columba on Sunday. The Glencolombcille men started by far the better and were 0-4 to no score up at a stage before Na Galloglaigh got off the mark. Glen could nearly have been out of sight at half time only for the boys to dig in deep in the last 10 of the half, and with the aid of a Darragh Black goal, went in level at the break 1-4 to 0-7.
Na Galloglaigh went ahead for the first time in the game early in the second half but Naomh Columba responded well with 2 points of their own to back into the lead. The blues were able to put a wee bit of daylight between the sides when after about 40 minutes when Cathal Mc Gettigan finished to the top corner from distance for his sides second goal.
The boys kicked on from there and a free that dropped short saw Joey Cullen add a third goal in the final 10 minutes. For most of the closing stages there was only one team in it, which didn’t look likely at all in the first half, to see Na Galloglaigh run out winners by 3-11 to 0-13. This result now means that one more win would see the boys promoted to Division 1 for the first time in the clubs history, and the first of their 4 remaining games sees them play Glenfin away next Saturday evening, therefore all support possible would be greatly appreciated.

Reserves
CLG BnaG 2-12 Naomh Columba 1-14
The Reserves got a much needed win in a close encounter with Glen on Sunday afternoon. The first half was end to end with early Na Galloglaigh scores coming from Caolan Bolton and Ciaran mcHugh. Glen responded with points fromfrees each time before scoring a goal which gave them a 3 point lead. Na Galloglaigh started to dominate the midfield area which allowed them to create more scoring opportunities, however they missed many of these before finally finding their range.
The half back line of Cormac Friel, Enda McHugh and Cormac Toland contributed a point each which brought them back into the game. Glen added 2 more points to move back into the lead but goalkeeper Sean Gallagher scored a 45 and then a long range free to bring the sides levelat half time, 0-7 to 1-4. Glen scored teh 1st point of the 2nd half, but 2 goals i quick succession from the home team opened a 5 point lead. First a long ball into the full forward line was flicked on by Paul Fisher into the path of James Whelan who cooly slotted the ball past the Glen keeper. Minutes later Caolan Bolton won a kickout and surged towards the opposition goal, he found Martin Doyle with an angled pass and Doyle placed the ball in the bottom corner.
Doyle then added a point which gave Na Galloglaigh a commanding led, however they had to fight hard to hold on to it. Glen started chipping away at the lead and had the deficit back to 2 points at one stage. Centre back Enda McHugh added 2 more points to his tally before Glen responded with scores to get back to within a point. Gary Helferty and Paul Sweeney added points to give a 2 point lead in the closing stages, while Glen scored the final point of the game but were unable to get an equaliser as the Na Galloglaigh defence stood firm to hang on for a hard fought win.
