The North West Simon Community provides ‘Long-term Supported Housing’ to over 40 individuals in Letterkenny and provides an “Outreach Service” to families and individuals throughout Co. Donegal.
This service actively prevents vulnerable people and families from becoming homeless. With the correct intervention at the correct time and with the correct support, Simon Community staff can support people in difficult situations and prevent another person from becoming homeless.
The cause works with people not only to address their immediate crisis but to try and have long term sustainable solutions for the individual and their family such as developing a routine, providing life-skills, accessing training and educational opportunities.
North West Simon Community is run independently and relies heavily on funding from donations and fundraising.
