The death has taken place of Gwen Hughes, Mullinasole, Laghey. Removal from her residence on Sunday, 14th August, at 12 noon arriving at St Brigid’s Church, Ballintra for Funeral Mass at 1pm with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House private to family and friends only.
John GILLESPIE
The death has taken place at the Mater Private Hospital Dublin of John Gillespie, Coillín Darach, Croithlí.
His remains will repose at his late residence in Crolly from Friday. Removal from there on Sunday at 12.30pm for 1pm requiem mass at St Mary’s Chapel, Derrybeg and burial afterwards in Magheragallon Cemetery.
House private from 11pm to 10am and also on the morning of the funeral. Rosary both nights at 9pm. Donations in lieu of flowers to Donegal Hospice c/o Stephen O’ Donnell & Sons Funeral Care or any family member.
Anne COLL
The death has occurred of Anne Coll, Pallaid, Fanad. Removal from St Anne’s Nursing Home, Charlestown, Co. Mayo at 3pm today, Saturday, arriving in St Mary’s Chapel, Fanavolty, Fanad at 6.45pm. Requiem Mass on Sunday, 13th August, at 2pm followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu of flowers to St Vincent de Paul.
Sr. Mary CANNON
Sister Mary Cannon, (Convent of Mercy Coolock, Dublin and formerly of Kilcar, Co. Donegal) August,11th 2016 (peacefully). Deeply regretted by her sister Teresa (Tess), nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, relatives, friends, Sisters in the Community and staff of Catherine McAuley House, Beaumont.
Reposing at the Convent of Mercy Chapel, Coolock on (Monday) from 2pm with evening prayers at 5.30 o’clock. Removal on (Tuesday) morning to St. Brendan’s Church, Coolock arriving at 9.50 o’clock for Funeral Mass at 10 o’clock. Burial immediately afterwards in the Community Cemetery, Inchicore.
Charlie SHIELS
The death has occurred of Charlie Shiels, Ballylennon, St. Johnston. Sadly missed by his brother Eddie, his two daughters and son, his grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Removal this (Saturday) afternoon from Kelly’s funeral home at 2pm going to his late residence. Funeral from his late residence on Monday morning at 10.15am to St Baithin’s Church, St Johnston for 11am requiem mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

The death has taken place of Josie Crossan, 2 Cnoc Anar Avenue, Glencar, Letterkenny. Remains will be removed from the Donegal Hospice today, Saturday, at 4pm going to his late residence at 2 Cnoc Anar Avenue, Letterkenny. Funeral Mass on Monday at 12 noon in St Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny. Interment afterwards to Conwal cemetery
