This Saturday 13th Lady Captain Orla Gallagher will host her big day of the year, and the male members are invited to take part in a nine hole stableford competition to commence at 5pm sharp, followed by the traditional barbeque.
Best wishes to Orla on her big day, and to the young guns taking part in her juveniles competition to be held at 6.30pm on Friday 12th August.
Last Sunday 7th, members battled ‘wintery’ August winds and rain in the members cup, a singles stroke competition.
Gerry Gallagher held on to claim victory by the narrowest margin to pip Damian Gallagher into second place. As all finishing places become more important as the number of qualifying competitions for the golfer of the year playoff gets less and less, Martin Duffy wishes to remind players who have fallen behind in playing their match play fixtures to get it on with their next opponent, or face the consequences.
