GAA chiefs have paid a poignant tribute to the late RTE Raidio na Gaeltachta broadcaster Séamus Mac Geidigh ahead of this evening’s clash between Donegal and Dublin.
The former broadcaster sadly passed away last month which left his family, friends and colleagues absolutely devastated.
His outstanding work as a sports broadcaster for Raidio Na Gaeltachta resulted in him being a household figure nationwide in GAA circles.
Donegal face Dublin this evening, and how he will be missed in the press box – his professionalism and knowledge will be irreplaceable.
In the match programme for the All-Ireland quarter-final this evening, a beautiful tribute was paid to an outstanding GAA broadcaster.
He was a passionate GAA man and an avid supporter of Donegal football and his commentary on games were legendary.
He’ll be watching over all of us today, and hopefully Donegal can record a famous win.
