Row B productions has been set up by a group of young, aspiring actors to bring together local youth and successfully write and produce a a murder mystery play called “Checking Out” , during their school holidays. They have learned new skills and the project enabled them to work together as a team without any adult directorship.
As part of this challenge the talented group have had to find funding to deliver this ambitious plan. They have approached friends, family and local business and have planned a number of fundraising events in the coming weeks to provide some much needed cash.
A car wash, car boot sale and cake sale are some of the events they are seeking your support for and all details will be posted on their Row B Productions Facebook page very soon. The money raised will go towards theatre rental, props, costumes, set and other purchases to ensure a successful performance.
A trailer filmed locally about the production can be viewed on their Facebook page ‘Row B Productions – Public Information Page’ and it is already receiving huge interest, having amassed over 3,000 views. Tickets are on sale this week and predictions so far are that this event will be a huge success when they take to the stage in An Gríanan Theatre on the 24th August.
This is just the beginning for Row B Productions they have many more exciting plans for the future. The skills they have learned through this project so far will be of huge benefit to them in the years ahead. If you can support or help this group in any way please get in touch.
