Two Major Concerts at An Grianan Theatre Letterkenny, Saturday 27th August and Thursday 8th September
An Grianan are presenting two great concerts at the end of August and start of September with Cherish the Ladies on August 27thand The Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain on September 8th. The much loved, Grammy nominated, Irish-American supergroup were formed in New York City in 1985 to celebrate the rise of women in what had been a male dominated Irish music scene. They have since toured the world, played the White House and the Olympics, and recorded 15 outstanding albums. The Ukulele Orchestra is a group of all-singing, all-strumming Ukulele players, using instruments bought with loose change, which believes that all genres of music are available for reinterpretation, as long as they are played on the Ukulele.
