A young girl has been awarded €15,963 after she was involved in a car crash in September, 2013.

The girl, who was nine at the time, was a belted passenger in the car which was exiting a petrol station in Donegal when the vehicle was struck by another car.

The girl didn’t suffer serious injury, Letterkenny Circuit Court was told, but she did suffer from anxiety and nervousness and was referred to a psychologist.

Judge John O’Hagan said he was satisfied with the offer and made the full award and allowed €250 to be given to the girl, who is now aged 12 “to get something nice.”
