A woman had to be taken from Sliabh Liag today after complaining of chest pains while out walking.
It is understood the alarm was raised by a tourist when he came across the woman at the top of the cliffs.
The Killybeg’s Coastguard and the Rescue 118 helicopter were alerted and both arrived on scene as did members of the Donegal Mountain Rescue team.
After the woman was located, she was airlifted to hospital by Rescue 118 from Sligo to hospital.
Her condition is not known at present.
