It’s the August Bank Holiday Weekend, and while we won’t experience the sizzling temperatures of the previous Bank Holiday weekend in June – it will be pleasant – and much drier!
While it might not be warm enough for a dip in the beach – it’s perfect weather for a barbecue!
So get them barbecues out and start rustling up some tasty burgers with a few cold beers – your off Monday, it’s the Bank Holiday.
Drier conditions developing in the North-West will extend southwards through the rest of the morning and it will brighten up everywhere for a day of sunny spells and just a few scattered showers.
Met Eireann says tomorrow will be mainly dry with sunny spells and just isolated showers.
A little cooler than today with highest temperatures of 16C-18C in mainly light northwest winds.
Met Eireann said: “Sunday will also bring a fair amount of dry and sunny weather, but there will be a few showers also.
“Temperatures will remain on the slightly lower side of normal, though it should feel pleasant in sunshine with just light breezes.
“Highest temperatures of 16 to 18 degrees. Staying dry overnight too with lowest temperatures of 9 or 10 degrees.”
The good news is that it will stay mainly dry through Bank Holiday Monday for most places in the country, apart from the odd isolated shower.
A band of rain could push up against southwest coasts, spoiling the end of the day there.
