Ulster GAA have just announced scholarships for GAA members applying for Ulster University’s Irish Language Diploma from September 2016. The Gaeilge sa Chlub (‘Irish in the Club’) scholarship scheme for adult learners of Irish is a joint initiative from Ulster GAA and Ulster University which aims to promote the use of Irish within clubs throughout Ulster by providing financial assistance to GAA members who sign up for a Diploma in Irish Language course.

Termon GAA Minor Board (in association with Kelly’s CENTRA Mountain Top Letterkenny)
A huge thanks to everyone that helped with last Saturday mornings U8 blitz. Our own 4 teams along with 2 each from Glenswilly and N Colmcille had a great hour and a half of matches with both our boys and girls performing very well. Thanks to the refs, to everyone that helped with the refreshments and of course to Liam, Conall and Jim for their hard work with this group. There’s coaching tomorrow eve Wednesday 6-7pm and details for the weekend will be confirmed later. For tomorrow evening remember proper clothing gloves gum shield and a bottle of water.
Our U10s will head North on Sunday morning when they travel to Malin to take part in their U10 tournament. The Bus will leave the Burn Road at 9.30 sharp for a 11am throw in. Before that there will be coaching on Friday evening 6.30-7.45 again all boys and girls to have their own water, gloves, gum shield and rain wear. Any queries to David on 085 1305332
Another NRB A Final and another NRB A title for our U14 boys. Once again St Eunan’s provided the opposition and indeed took control early on with 2 goals. As usual our boys under the steady hand of James, Paddy and PJ took over from the start of the second half and won by 5 points in the end.
Another fantastic team performance, with many exceptional performance in that. Their play in the second half speaks volumes for the ability and the know how this team has developed and the large Termon support showed their appreciation when NRB Treasurer Conor Mc Dermott handed over the trophy to joint Captains Jack Alcorn and Aaron Reid. Conor Black was awarded the Man of the Match award and indeed he had several of his team mates breathing down his neck but he was a very worthy winner with another magnificent display. Onwards now to Convoy this Friday eve for a 7pm throw in against Aodh Rua Ballyshannon, best of luck boys.
Our U16s have completed their league campaign as St Eunan’s will not be fielding tomorrow night (Wednesday) for their scheduled match. This leaves our boys with 2 wins and 2 loses so probably a Div 2 league Q/F next week. Pj Mc fadden and Paddy Mc Daid have been putting the boys through the paces in recent weeks and hopefully this will be evident in the closing stages of the league competition.
The minors are out again on Bank Holiday Monday, keep an eye on facebook for more details about the game.
Best of luck to Enda Mc Cormick and the Donegal minors in this Saturdays All Ireland Minor Championship Quarter Final. A fantastic opportunity for this team to get to play on the the hallowed turf of Croke Park and no doubt we will have a big support from Termon their cheering on Enda and the team.
Cúl Camp
It’s that time of the year again, Termon GAA’s 2016 Cúl Camp takes place from the 8th to the 12th of August. After the great success of our Cul Camp in recent years, we already have had huge interest in this year’s event. All boys and girls from U6 to U13 are welcome to register online or forms will be given out over the next few days at coaching by this year’s co ordinator Hugh Harkin.
You can register online, too.
We would encourage parents where possible to book online as this guarantees the gear will be available for your child on the week of the camp.
Same prices as last year €55 for 1 child €45 for a 2nd child and €40 for a 3rd or more child/children.
This includes a full weeks Camp and the much acclaimed 2016 Cul Camp gear of a T Shirt, a half zip top and a backpack.
You can visit the official Kellogg’s GAA Cul Camps website for more information.
Any queries to Hugh on 087 6891967.
Ladies
U12Girls: Our u12 girls finished their season with a blitz in Ardara on Saturday. Despite being seriously under strength the girls still registered a win against Robert Emmets and put in great performances against Ardara and Killybegs. Jodie McFadden, Bridget Fegan and Rachel Olsen were among those who played well.
U14Girls: The u14 girls provided their supporters with one of the most exciting games of the year to watch going tit for tat for scores against St Eunans in the Div 1 A final in Convoy. The last 15 minutes were remarkable as the Termon girls dug deep to come from 5pts behind to win by 10pts. Huge congratulations to the girls on their well deserved win after putting in a lot of hard work and training since February. Congratulations to Lisa, Harry and all associated with this fantastic team of girls, whose spirit and determined drive was inspirational to watch, not to mention their unique celebratory singing abilities afterwards!
Our U16 girls are scheduled to play on August 2 nd, whilst the lost out to Fanad earlier tonight, having won all games up to tonight. Our senior ladies finished second in the shield, and our junior ladies took third place.
