And Mickey Harte’s side won out 0-13 to 0-11 in the end, seconds after Michael Murphy had a chance to equalise the game.
Sean Kavanagh was magnificent for Tyrone, scoring superb points from play and ending Donegal dreams of a double after the minor victory over Derry earlier.

Ryan McHugh had a brilliant first half, hitting three of Donegal’s points.
McBrearty hit two and captain Michael Murphy and midfielder Odhran Mac Niallais hit the other scores.

In the end Tyrone ground out the victory, old master Harte winning over Rory Gallagher’s side.
