THERE were wild scenes of celebration in Clones today as the Donegal Minors were crowned Ulster champions after a superb provincial final clash with Derry.
The game was enthralling to the end, a late Devlin Derry goal ensuring a nervous finish.
But in the end Donegal deserved their victory on a scoreline of 2-10 (16) to 1-11 (14).
Shaun Paul Barrett’s boys led 1-05 to 4 points at the break, JD Boyle getting the goal.
But Nathan Boyle added a second goal in the second half and Donegal cruised into the end of the game with Niall O’Donnell kicking some lovely points.
One down – one to go!
