The Ulster Final between Donegal and Tyrone should be played in Croke Park.
That’s the view of Sunday Game panelist and Dublin GAA legend Ciaran Whelan.
The larger than life former midfielder has suggested neutral fans would come in their droves to see Rory Gallagher and Mickey Harte’s charges do battle along with huge support for both teams.
Whelan said there was an argument for having the Ulster Final in just two weeks time at GAA headquarters.
It is unlucky however that the Ulster Council will agree to such a proposal.
Both Whelan and fellow panelist and Kerry legend Thomas O Se said Donegal and Tyrone are really starting to turn on the style.
The Kerry man in particular admitted he had thought that Donegal might have been past it last year.
But he admitted that they were no playing with a hunger and desire and that was couple by a new injection of life, he said.
He said the Ulster final would be a “mouth-watering contest” and said that along with Dublin, Donegal and Tyrone will have a say in what transpires in the third Sunday in September.
