FOOTBALL: Former Finn Harps striker Ruairi Keating could be on his way back to Finn Park amid growing frustration at his lack of game time at Galway United.
Keating initially signed for Finn Harps in 2014 on loan from Sligo Rovers, and became an instant hit with fans before Sligo recalled him from his loan spell in July 2014.
In January 2015, Ollie Horgan again acquired the services of Keating on loan from Sligo Rovers.
However, he was again recalled by his parent club in July and returned to The Showgrounds for the remainder of the season.
In January 2016, Keating made the move to Galway United, but as thus far struggled to make an impact, and is growing increasingly frustrated at his lack of opportunities at The Tribesmen.
With a return back to Sligo Rovers deemed unlikely, rumours are circulating that Keating is keen on a move back to Finn Park.
Keating excelled in his previous two spells at the club, and pr0bably played the best football of his career at Finn Park.
The Finn Harps faithful would dearly love to see him back at the club – and if the move were to materialise it would be a shrewd bit of business from Ollie Horgan.
Harps are currently 7th in the league standings, and are well on course to consolidate their top-flight status.
The potential signing of Keating could go a long way in cementing their place in the Premier Division.
Rumours of potential departures from Finn Park are also rife, former Manchester United player Ryan McConnell may leave to seek pastures new and could be joined by Matthew Crossan.
July could be a busy month at Finn Park.
