Well-known personal trainer and DD columnist Emmet Rushe will be taking part in an a highly challenging obstacle course in Co Meath in order to raise money for charity.
The obstacle course, called Tough Mudder, is a 10-12 mile mud and obstacle course that drags you out of your comfort zone and tests you in every way possible; mental as well as physical.
There are no winners or losers in Tough Mudder as the event is designed to emphasize the importance of teamwork, camaraderie and ‘accomplishing something almost as tough as you are’.
Emmet is joining Project Impact to do the obstacle course and raise money for various charities. Project Impact was set up by Pat Divilly with the goal of bringing together like-minded people to change to the world.
Each team member of Project Impact will raise €100 each. With a team of over 1000 people, the team will have collectively raised over €100,000 for charity.
One of the charities they will be donating to is the Laura Lynn Children’s Hospice in Foxrock, Dublin.
