Red Hughs GAA News:

U8 and U10

Thank you to our Neighbours Robert Emmets  for hosting Red Hugh’s and Naomh Colmcille on Saturday morning. Both our U8’s and 10’s played both teams in close games with some great football played by all teams. Thanks to all parents and supporters who travelled to cheer Red Hugh’s team on.

Jackie Noonan U16 Memorial Cup

Red Hugh’s hosted McCools, Glenfin, Urney and Glenswilly in our Jackie Noonan U16 Memorial 7 aside cup. Despite the rain this was a fantastic competition with some exceptional football played by all teams. The stand out team of the day was McCools who went unbeaten throughout the day and pipped Glenfin in the final. A big thank you to all who helped out in the organisation and running the competition and to the teams who travelled. Special Mention to the Noonan Family who as always ensured this tournament was a success and also providing tea/coffee and sandwiches for all the players and supporters.

Red Hughs u14 girls
Hard Luck to our U14 girls last Tuesday evening. It was a great match and tough to take losing out by the narrowest of margins. A big thank you to Joe Elaine Lisa and Maura and the all the players for their effort and commitment this year. Thanks to the parents for all the support as well during the season and to the club members for their support which was much appreciated.

Red Hugh’s 5K

The Red Hugh’s 5k walk and run is to take place on Friday the 22nd of July at 7:30pm on a new fast route. Please keep this date in mind

County Coaching officer (Mick Murphy) has stressed that the CUL CAMPS are strictly over 7’s but will allow. 6 year olds attend with a signed consent form from parents. Consent forms will be made available in the next week.
