St. Naul’s Malin
Malin were beaten by a point in Mountcharles at the weekend on a scoreline of St Naul’s 2-08 Malin 1-10. The team on the day was Paco McLaughlin, Gary Farren, Conor Farren, Michael McLaughlin, Paul McLaughlin, Damien Harkin, Kieron McColgan, Anthony Kelly, Christopher McLaughlin, Declan Walsh, Brendan McLaughlin, Seamus Doherty, Danny McCarron, Dan McDaid and Matthew Byrne with BrendanMcLaughlin getting the goal. There is no fixture next weekend due to the Donegal game with the next match the long journey to Naomh Columba in Glencolmcille on Sunday 3rd of July. The reserves beat St. Naul’s on a scoreline of 3-09 to 0-03 points. A young team lined out for Malin but they put on a strong display particularly in the second half. Goals from John Gerard McDermott, Conor McGeogeghan and Padraig McCarron and an impressive 5 points from Joe Doherty (Paddymore) at full forward. The reserve team also beat Naomh Colmcille in the Philadelphia cup last Friday and are playing Naomh Padraig, Muff on Wednesday.
Malin Gaa Summer Camp The Annual Cul Camp will take place this year from 11th-15th July. Information has gone out to all the Primary School children but if there are any questions regarding the camp please contact Maria McLaughlin(F) on 087 7763679. The camp is open to all children (boys and girls) aged 5-13 years. Forms need to be back to Maria by the 4th of July as numbers are needed for the County Board and to organise the number of coaches. This week is hugely enjoyable and a fun filled week will be had by all.
Lotto There was no winner of this weeks jackpot of €650. The numbers drawn were 2-5-4-7-3-1-6. The €50 was won by Liz Doherty, Redford, Culdaff with the sellers prize going to Neil Doherty, Redford, Culdaff. Next weeks jackpot is €700.
Underage
The under 16’s played Buncrana at home on Monday (check Facebook for result) and play Burt away on Friday evening. The under 14’s are at home to Buncrana on Tuesday at 6.30pm. The under 12 A and B’s are away to Steelstown on Tuesday. They played Termon in a friendly last Saturday. The under 10’s are away to Urris on Wednesday, they played Burt last Wednesday and the management would like to thank the Burt club for their hospitality. The under 14 girls had heartbreak in Gaoth Dobhair on Saturday after drawing their county semi-final, being beaten by a goal after extra-time, well done to the team and their coaches for getting to that stage. The under 12 girl’s beat Steelstown by a point last Monday. The under 10 girls play Naomh Padraig in Muff on Monday at 6.30pm (check Facebook for result).
