Manus Kelly flies into the lead!
MANUS Kelly and co-driver Donal Barrett are the 2016 Joule Donegal International Rally champions.
Manus snatched victory on the final stage today and won with just HALF A SECOND to spare over Keith Cronin and Mikie Galvin at the end of an action-packed three days of racing which saw the lead change several times – and saw top competitors forced to retire.
Kelly said he was “thrilled” that he and Donall have been crowned the 2016 champions at the end of a third day which had many of its own spills and thrills.
The rally drew a crowd in excess of 30,000 people this year.
Many of them are at the Mt Errigal Hotel to watch Manus and Donall crowned the 2016 champions.
David Bogie and Enda Sherry won the National title.
