The ferry sails into a very busy Rathmullan.

The ferry sails into a very busy Rathmullan.

The Rathmullan to Buncrana Ferry will officially begin siblings today and operate for the rest of the summer months.

The ferry will operate on a daily basis from 10am until 8pm across Lough Swilly.

The service will be operated for a total of 13 weeks by Dominic Sweeney, the well-known operator of the Arranmore Ferry.

The current ferry, ‘Coll’, can currently accommodate 8 cars on each sailing as well as foot passengers.

It is hoped that an even larger ferry will cater for the many tourists set to descend upon Donegal for what hopefully will be a sunny summer.
