The peninsula’s U18 girls travelled to Dublin yesterday and few gave them any hope against the capital’s Dublin Metro Girls team.
They have a million people to choose from – but that didn’t faze the Co Donegal girls.
Sarah Jane McDonald gave Inishowen the lead in the second half and the Culdaff teenager should have been given a penalty not long after.
Dublin equalised to send the game into extra time, penalties and then a sudden death shoot-out.
And Inishowen won 4-3 on penalties!
Aoife McColgan, the Malin GAA keeper who won the Division 2 title with Donegal earlier this month, was player of the match.
