ST EUNAN’S starlet Niall O’Donnell was – by a country mile – the man of the match as Donegal’s Minors saw off Antrim in Belfast by 2-11 to 2-07.
O’Donnell hit a personal tally of 2-05 in a class performance.
And it was needed.
The home side’s Eamon Fyffe hit 2-03 as Antrim stunned Donegal in the second half, the sides level 4 points apiece at the break.
But it was a case of ‘I can do that’ as O’Donnell turned on the style and hit Donegal’s two goals within a minute to leave Antrim stunned.
And then he crowned a superb performance with two wonderful late points at Corrigan Park.
Donegal now face in the Ulster semi-final on June 23 but will be without Naomh Conaill’s Eoghan McGettigan who was sent off in yesterday’s clash.
