RTE star Ryan Tubridy has got his Wild Atlantic Way passport stamped in Donegal today ahead of his week-long trip along the popular visitor attraction.
Tubs had promised to start his week-long morning radio show tour of the west coast in Buncrana following the horrific tragedy at the local pier in March.
And tomorrow the star will broadcast his show from the town which is still coming to terms with the deaths of five members of the one family at the local pier.
Tubridy spent the day today fishing on Lough Swilly and last night enjoyed a Donegal seafood dinner in the Red Door restaurant in Fahan.
The star’s guests will include local schools and also members of the Junk Couture recycling fashion project.
A number of local guests are also due to drop by.
Ryan officially got his Wild Atlantic Way passport stamped for the first time at Buncrana Post Office.
It is hoped the passport scheme will encourage overseas and local visitors to travel along the entire Wild Atlantic Way route and get all the visitor attractions stamped on their passport.
Tubs will travel the Wild Atlantic Way all this week in a specially designed double-decker and broadcast his show from a series of destinations.
Join him on air on RTE Radio One from 9am.
