DD ARTS: An exhibition celebrating the centenary of artist Derek Hill’s birth is to open today at The Glebe House and Gallery in Churchill.
The launch is at 3pm and admission is free. The art gallery has now opened for the 2016 season.
On Wednesday, Prince Charles and his wife Camilla got a preview of the exhibition -the prince also unveiled a plaque rededicating a building at LYIT to his great friend.
He paid a private visit to the artist’s home Glebe House, and described it as a very special treat to visit the home of “my old friend and artistic mentor”.
The Gallery is open daily from 11.00am until 6.30pm (closed Fridays in June) and tours will be available up until 5.30pm.
