RAPHOE NOTES:
Raphoe Family Resource Centre:
15th Anniversary Celebrations
The Family Resource Centre will be celebrating its 15th year as a Family Resource Centre on Monday 27th June 2016 and we are busy planning an appropriate celebration to mark the occasion. More details will follow in next week’s Raphoe Notes so please mark the date in your diary! Many of you will remember us as Raphoe Youth Project and subsequently as Raphoe Youth & Community Project and although the date is a wee bit sketchy the project will be 20 years established in May 2017-another milestone to be celebrated!

The Family Resource Centre and Springboard Family Support Project would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Ronnie Halliday, School Completion Programme Coordinator for his generous support this year again. Without this support the summer project would not take place.
Farewell:
The Family Resource Centre would like to say farewell to Peter Mc Clintock whose year with us as Caretaker through the Tús Programme came to an end on Thursday 19th May. Peter, who went about his work in a quiet unassuming way made a significant contribution to ensuring that those visiting the Family Resource Centre enjoyed a warm and friendly environment. We wish Peter every success for the future. Our thanks too go to Sharon Docherty, Tús Programme Supervisor for all her support during Peter’s year with us.
Sponsored Walk
The Family Resource Centre would like to thank everyone for their kind support during the recent sponsored walk undertaken by Tony, our Project Coordinator. Tony wants everyone to know that other than a few blisters (and a free sun tan!) he is none the worse for wear. It would be difficult to thank everyone personally and we would be concerned that we would leave someone out so please accept this as a token of our sincere gratitude if you walked with Tony, drove him to starting points, fed him, ensured he was safe and well, prayed for him, sent him good wishes and kind comments, liked and shared his daily posts, turned out to welcome him on his visit to your Family Resource Centre, welcomed him back to Raphoe and organised his homecoming party, and of course if you sponsored or pledged to sponsor him. You are all fantastic people! We would like to thank the following businesses who were generous with their sponsorship: Daly Bros Retail Ltd, Lifford; Cleary & Co Solicitors; Dolan Scaffolding Ltd; Raphoe Pharmacy; Mc Cauley’s Restaurant, Lifford; Harkin’s Gala, Ballybofey; Laird’s Kitchen’s; Lifford Credit Union; Niall Gallen Taxis, Lifford; Declan Reynolds; Raphoe Mart; Slevin’s Pharmacy, Lifford; Eamonn Stevenson Financial Services, Letterkenny, Reynolds of Raphoe. Our sincere thanks also to Cllrs Liam Doherty and Gary Doherty for their generous contributions from their Members Development Fund Allocation.
