A NEW single released this week which has brought together Donegal artists from various musical backgrounds on a catchy new House song has gone straight into No.10 on the iTunes Dance Chart.
Heart & Soul is a new collaboration by well-known Irish dance artist Tommy Conway with fellow Donegal man Sean Feeny which, thanks to a large amount of preorders and early sales, has entered the Irish iTunes Dance charts at Number 10.
The co-founder of Letterkenny-based Full Tilt Recordings teamed up with singer/songwriter Sean Feeny after hearing his renditions of well-known Soul hits featured on his 2012 album Northern Soul which was released in aid of local charities.
Also adding some funk to the Heart & Soul mix is Orri McBrearty, well-known sound engineer and guitarist with the popular Donegal group, Our Native State.
The coinciding music video was directed and edited by another Donegal man, Christopher Curran (Digital Creatures). This Video has Hit almost 5,000 views on it’s very first day.
Tommy said “I went to see Sean perform his Northern Soul album at An Grianan Theatre a number of years ago and instantly became a fan. It was a brilliant show and performance with a host of talented musicians. We became friends after this and decided to work on a project bringing both our skills together. Sean is a great guy to work with and is extremely talented both vocally and his song writing”
Sean said “I really enjoyed the experience of working with the talented Tommy Conway who is held in such high regard in the world of Dance music, at home and abroad. Writing a House track was a completely new venture for me and I hope people enjoy the final result,” said Sean Feeny.
