Irish Schools Final Qualification for Fodhal.
A huge congratulations to Club athlete Fodhla McFadden who had a very successful day at the Ulster Secondary Schools finals in Antrim Forum yesterday. Competing for Pobailscoil Ghaoth Dobhair (P.S.G.) in the senior girls triple jump she qualified for the prestiges Irish schools finals to be held in Tullamore at the beginning of next month. The youngest competitor in the event, Fodhla has another two year competing in this age group and will no doubt have her sights clearly fixed on an Irish title in the future. A great achievement by her and a great honour for Pobailscoil Ghaoth Dobhair. Well done from all at Rosses Athletic Club.
Ardara G.A.A 5K:
A great performance by Michael Logue winning the Ardara 5k in a fast time of 17.51. Michael trains extremely hard and its great to see his dedication paying off.
Donegal Childrens Games:
Thanks to Finn Valley AC for hosting the Donegal childrens games yesterday evening and for all the officials that helped out. There was impressive performances from Tara McElroy, Aine Ferry, David Geoghegan and Joe McElroy. Well done to our up and coming stars.
Cavan T&F Championships :
Great performances in Clones at the weekend by Leah McGarvey, Emma brown and Joe Sharkey. All three picked up medal in a number of events. Its great to see our young athletes willing to travel to various meets to gain valuable competition experience.
Table Quiz a Great success.
The Rosses Athletic Club would like to thank all those who came out last night and supported the Table quiz. We had a total of 12 tables. A special world of thanks to John Bosco and his team and to Caislean Oir for their generosity and use of facilities.
Training Times:
Track & Field: Tue/Thur all ages 7+. Sunday 13yrs and older.
Endurance training:
Industrial estate, Tue/thur 7pm and Sunday 11am blue bridge.

Rosses AC athlete Fodhla McFadden, who competed for Pobailscoil Ghaoth Dobhair (P.S.G.) in the senior girls triple jump at the Ulster Schools Track & Field Championships in Antrim Forum at the weekend. Fodhla jumped superbly and qualified for the prestiges Irish schools finals to be held in Tullamore at the beginning of next month.
