Would you like to make your coffee business profitable while making perfect coffee everytime?
Well now you can, also no need to travel far away to do it.
The Hatter Barista College a new division of The Hatter Tea Room, Stranorlar, are now offering Barista training.
It’s the first of its kind in Donegal and the North West.
Paddy McMenamin, Head Barista and Trainer spotted a gap in the market for this new service.
Up until now anyone who was looking for training in this field would usually have to travel to Dublin or Belfast for training, incurring travel and accommodation charges on top of course fees.
Thankfully now there is a new option, The Hatter has a few different options for anyone that wants full training in the art of coffee making, or as it is known Barista skills.
For companies, you can hire a trainer for a day or half day to call out to your premises and teach your staff on their everyday machine, which means that the staff don’t have to travel and can learn their skills in the comfort of their own workplace.
For individuals, a Barista course can be done in The Hatter Tea Room itself, a half day in the classroom for theory and then a half day in the shop itself, earning practical experience by making all the different coffees most customers might ask for.
One of these courses will take place on the 26th of May, and with places filling up quick, anyone interested should contact the College as soon as possible.
Also for the home coffee enthusiast, the Hatter offer a home barista course.
This entails students taking a course also in the shop, where all the home brewing techniques are shown and described and then shown how to brew at home.
Some of the techniques include French press, Hario drip coffee and Mokka pot.
The courses are delivered in a professional manner with the emphasis on
the student getting confident in making all the drinks.
Previous customers have the found the course very benifical and rewarding,
complimenting the manner of which the course was laid out and the
content.
In the near future The Hatter will also be holding courses for anyone who is interested in Starting their own Cafe/Coffee Shop, offering practical advice on everything that someone would need to start on the journey of opening a new business.
From accounts, ordering, margin calculating, barista skills to getting the best price for utilities and equipment, this will be one stop shop for all their needs.
If anyone would like more details on any of the above courses please contact the Hatter Barista College by mail on: thehatterbaristacollege@gmail.com or by calling 07491 75383.
