DONEGAL is set for four more days of glorious sunshine.
However a cold northerly wind will start take temperatures back down over the weekend – so it will be more like 15C than the 25C we had last Monday.
It’s going to stay dry right through until next Monday night, before Atlantic weather systems start to bring wind and rain back to Donegal….but only for a day or two.
More warm weather is expected to follow from the middle of next week, say forecasters.
The weather could not have been kinder as media crews from around the world descend on Donegal hoping to get a glimpse of the set of the new Star Wars movie.
“Friday is going to start off sunny but it will be slightly cooler in the afternoon,” said forecaster Jean Byrne
“It should be around 17-21C in the west and north west and it is going to be mostly dry with sunny spells on Saturday and Sunday.
“It will be pleasant everywhere all weekend but slightly cooler, getting noticeably colder in the evenings as the temperatures drop.
“Overall it will be a nice, sunny weekend and Monday is looking fine too.”
Rain on Tuesday and Wednesday will soon pass, with forecasters believing that another spell of warm – even hot – weather will be in place by next weekend.
