House builders will be given free access to essential information from leading experts at Donegal’s first ever building advice expo, #Build16.
Sponsored by EBS, #Build16 has brought together a team of trusted local professionals to walk house builders step by step through the build process.
The expo, which will take place at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Letterkenny on Saturday, June 11, is designed for anyone building, renovating or extending their property – whether first time self-builders or experienced multi-site developers.
Organiser Garry Clarke, a property law expert from Lanigan Clarke Solicitors in Letterkenny, says the event is designed to help home builders save both time and money while achieving the best results in their build projects.
“The number of people planning to build new homes, renovate old ones and add extensions to existing properties is on the rise and we want to ensure that they benefit from the right advice before they begin.
“#Build16 is a free entry event which will shed light on the build process from inception to inhabitation. Our trusted experts will highlight all the important do’s and don’ts in situations which home builders are likely to encounter during their build projects.
“#Build16 is the first event of its kind in Donegal. It brings a highly experienced and recommended team of local professionals all under one roof to provide practical advice and helpful tips on self-build and larger scale development projects.
“Attendees will receive up-to-date information which could save many thousands of euro on build costs and help them avoid unnecessary delays in the process.
“From adhering to the latest planning stipulations to side stepping the legal pitfalls of property development and from maximising energy efficiency to ensuring the highest levels of site safety – attendees can rest assured that #Build16 has got it covered,” Mr Clarke adds.
Fidelma Kelly, from event sponsor EBS Letterkenny, said: “We are delighted to sponsor this event as building a home can be a daunting prospect.
“At EBS we know how much time and energy goes into building your own home and we want to support you every step of the way.”
#Build16 attendees will be given access to practical advice and essential information from experts in the areas of property law, planning, site safety, building affordability, energy efficiency, building energy rating and property valuation.
#Build16 will take place at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Letterkenny on Saturday, June 11 from 9.30am – 2pm. Complimentary tea and coffee will be available on arrival.
Entry to both the event and the #Build16 prize draw is free.
