DONEGAL 20/1 OUTSIDERS FOR ALL-IRELAND

DONEGAL have been ranked 20/1 outsiders to lift Sam Maguire this year – but are joint favourites with Tyrone to lift the Ulster title.

The All-Ireland Football Championship kicks off this weekend with the highlights being Offaly taking on Longford in Round 1 of the Leinster Championship on Sunday as well as Fermanagh taking on Antrim in the Ulster Preliminary Round.

Reigning champions Dublin remain the warm favourites at 11/10 to retain the Sam Maguire trophy and are 1/14 to retain the Delaney Cup and win a 55th title.

Jim Gavin’s squad can be backed at 4/9 to reach the All-Ireland Final come September for the fourth time in the last six years.

Dublin’s nearest rival in the outright betting are National Football League runners up, Kerry, who are priced at 3/1 to lift the Sam Maguire for a record 38th time. The Kingdom are 4/9 to retain the Munster SFC crown and win it for a 78th time whilst they are currently on offer at 7/4 to reach the All Ireland final.

The Ulster SFC is wide open with both Tyrone and Donegal heading the betting at 9/4. Tyrone are currently priced at 12/1 to lift the Sam Maguire trophy whilst reigning Ulster champions, Monaghan, can be backed at 11/2 to retain the Ulster crown and 40/1 to go all the way and win the All-Ireland for the first time.

Donegal are ranked 20/1 to repeat the glory of 2012.

Connacht sees Mayo red hot at 8/15 to win a 47th title with Roscommon their nearest rivals in the betting at 3/1. Mayo are currently 11/2 to finally end their All-Ireland SFC curse whilst they are available at 7/4 to reach the final.
