Gardai have confirmed that a man was arrested in the early of this morning after a participant in the Darkness into Light event in Donegal Town was struck by a car.
That incident happened just after 4.30am in the Ballydevitt area of Donegal Town as walkers were taking part in the event.
It is understood the person only received minor injuries.
The man as arrested at the scene and taken to Donegal Town Garda station.
UP to 2,000 people were taking part in the event in Donegal Town and there were other similar events across the county.
