This week we had a visit from the beautiful Jasmine O’Kane, for a 12 week smoothing treatment.
Since putting her photos up on our Facebook and Instagram we have been inundated with queries; so Patrick asked Sharon one of our Smoothing Treatment specialists to answer all your questions.
As keratin is a natural protein found in hair and nails, the ‘G’ Smoothing Treatment works as an intense conditioning treatment improving the strength of your hair and making it much easier to manage.
As the hair becomes strengthened and conditioned it retains bounce and the need for intensive styling is vastly reduced. Sharon says the benefits and results are amazing and although it is not permanent, the rate at which your hair loses moisture is lessened and is easier to tame. What is The ‘G’ 12 Week Smoothing Treatment?
Sharon says the ‘G’ Smoothing Treatment is also referred to as a 12 week blow-dry! It is a keratin- enriched treatment designed to tame frizzy or unruly hair by creating a more polished and relaxed finish. A protein formula is sealed into the hair cuticle and after just on treatment you will have a smooth sleek salon blow-dry finish for up to 12 weeks. After the treatment the condition of your hair will be beautiful and you will just love the amazing shine.
Who should get it?
Anyone who wants a smoother more polished finish to coarse, frizzy, strong unruly hair. If you want to manage your hair more easily at home this might be a perfect option for you. What do we do?
Sharon says the whole smoothing treatment process can take up to three hours. Following your consultation your hair will be shampooed with a clarifying shampoo to remove all impurities. The keratin smoothing treatment will then be applied and left to develop for up to 50 minutes depending on hair type. The treatment will then be rinsed and hair blow-dried section by section. Following the blow-dry your hair will be straightened using a specialised method. Between 24 and 48 hours after your treatment you will receive a complimentary blow-dry in the salon.
