Letterkenny Rovers FC News:
Another fine week for the club saw the seniors defeat Portmarnock 2-1 to qualify for the FAI Cup second round. Goals from Christy Connaghan and Terence Shiels ensuring a trip to League of Ireland First Division side Athlone Town after the draw was made on Tuesday evening. That tie is scheduled for the week ending May 22nd.
Preparations are well underway for the trip for the FAI intermediate cup final at the Aviva on Saturday May 14th. Tickets costing €10 are available from Brian McCormick Sports while u16s gain free admission and no ticket is required.

Buses will cost €10 euro per person so a great value trip to Dublin for anyone who is interested in supporting the boys.
The seniors were due back in league action on Wednesday evening at Bonagee before travelling to play Cockhill on Sunday with a 2pm kick off.
Our Youths have a final to look forward to this Saturday when facing Gweedore Celtic at Ballyare in the Gorey Curran decider. Best of luck to Anthony Gorman and Mark McCauley and all the boys. Kick off is at 5pm.
They defeated Gweedore Celtic in the semi final of the Ulster Youth Cup last week winning 1-0 with Conor O’Donnell netting the winner and now play Blayney Rovers from Monaghan in the final with time and date to be confirmed.
Our u16s were in Tadhg Culbert action on Tuesday evening but lost out 4-2 to Dunfanaghy Youths with Conor O’Donnell and Brandon Manues netting.
Our u14s Crusaders had a super 7-2 win over Milford in the Cup. Goalscorers were Jason Blake, Sean McGinley, Kenny Alum, Joe Harkin, Odhran Galvin and Henry Bose with two.while the u14s United defeated Glencar 3-2 aet in the cup. Goalscorers were Sean Pascual, Muhammed Khan and Mark Meehan. United are away to Lurgy Celtic this Saturday at 2pm.
The u14s Rovers begin their champions league campaign this Saturday at 11am and they are away to either Kilmacrennan or Bonagee before a home clash next Tuesday evening against East Donegal opposition.
The u12s Rovers lost out to Milford on penalties while the u12s Crusaders get back into competitive action with a Cup game against either Gweedore Celtic or Glenea on Saturday morning at the Aura with a 1030am start.
