DONEGAL was warmer than Bordeaux yesterday – as temperatures reached 17C here – and just 15C in France.
Met Eireann says temperatures reached 17.1C at its Finner station.
But forecasters have warned that the cold of early April is set to return as easterly winds are replaced by cold northerly winds from the Arctic.
There will be very little rain – and we will see more blue skies today.
But temperatures will struggle to reach 9C or 10C.
And the bad news is that the cold weather is set to continue for another week.
There may even be ‘wintry showers’ on the hills of Donegal next Monday and Tuesday night.
