DONEGAL is set for another glorious day of sunshine today – with more of the same on Friday.
Met Eireann says temperatures in Donegal could hit 16C or 17C again today.
And forecaster Jean Byrne says the west and the north west will continue to see the very best of the calm weather as a high pressure system continues to pull in warm air from the eastern Mediterranean.
Today will see a repeat of Wednesday’s fine sunny weather and warm temperatures, she said. Cloud over some parts of Donegal in the morning should lift by the afternoon.
The fine weather will continue on Friday but temperatures will start to dip as cooler air moves in on Friday evening.
So while the sunny weather will prevail for most of the weekend, temperatures won’t get much above 9C or 10C on Saturday and Sunday.
There is also the possibility of the odd passing shower but they will be few and far between.
Then it goes downhill – rain on Monday and cooler again. We could even see some snow on the hills on Tuesday and Wednesday night as the cold spell returns.
So enjoy the next couple of days while you can.
