CAPPRY ROVERS
Cappry travelled to Flag Pole Field to play Rathmullan in the Brian McCormick’s Sports Premier Division and came away with a 2-2 draw. Rathmullan is always a tough place to travel but when you’re rooted to the bottom of the league it is even harder. Brian Lafferty and Alan Patton scored for Cappry.
CAPPRY ROVERS RESERVES
Milford United Reserves completed their League season with a six goal victory over Cappry Rovers Reserves. The victory means that the men from Moyle View finish in fifth place in the table, three points ahead of Donegal Town Reserves. Cappry Rovers Reserves played most of the season with youth players who will have learned from their experiences and will be better prepared for next season due to this fact. Milford started Saturday’s game strongly and were ahead in the 8th minute when Joey Cullen finished off a good move. Milford kept the pressure on and made it 2-0 when Jamie Whelan scored from the penalty spot. It was 3-0 in the 43rd minute when JJ Fleming finished off another Milford move. Cappry didn’t give up and tried to get back into the game but Milford were still well on top and made 4-0 when Joey Cullen headed home at the back post. Joey Cullen completed his hat-trick with another header in the 70th minute. Milford completed the scoring in the 83rd minute when CiaranBlaney finished well.
CAPPRY ROVERS U16’s
Cappry Rovers bowed out of the Champions League on Saturday when they were defeated by Keadue Rovers on a 3-0 scoreline. Coupled with that scoreline Bonagee overcame Donegal Town on a 6-1 scoreline to knock Cappry out of the competition on goal difference. Unfortunately, the season hasn’t turned out the way the players or management would have liked, Losing the league title on the last day and not getting the rub of the green in the Champions League group stages.
Hard luck lads.
CAPPRY ROVERS U14’s
Cappry Rovers travelled to Castlefin on Saturday morning and returned home with a well earned 5-0 victory. Cody Laverty (2), Kieran Thompson, Daniel Gordon and Joe Chambers (pen) grabbed the goals for Cappry. This was a very important win for the lads as they try and secure 2nd spot in the league and with that a spot in the Champions League group stages.
CAPPRY CRUSADERS U14’s
Our U14 Crusaders welcomed Letterkenny United to Cappry Park this Sunday morning at 11:30am. This seasons earlier fixture saw the Letterkenny boys victorious by 5 goals to 2 and our boys wanted to set the record straight! They certainly did that today with an impressive team performance and a 4-0 victory. From the first whistle Cappry tackled, pressed and passed with intent and purpose. John Tobin got on the end of a great passing move to leave Cappry 1-0 to the good at the break. Second half goals from Owen Stewart, Odhran Thomas and Keelan Browne (pen) completed the scoring. All 14 players played their hearts out with Odhran Thomas, Keelan Browne, Tim Scanlon, Ronan and Kian Gallagher, Eoghan Stewart and John Tobin outstanding throughout! A powerful team performance today from all 14 who played! Thanks to Letterkenny for a sporting game.
CAPPRY COLTS U12’s
Cappry Colts 2-1 Keadue Rovers Res
Cappry welcomed Keadue to Cappry on Friday evening last in what was a very entertaining match. The home side took the lead on 12 minutes when Niall Ryan latched onto a well played through ball. Keadue equalised with a superb volley from outside the box 6 minutes later to make the halftime score 1 each. The 2nd half started well for Keadue who hit the post 5 minutes in with the Cappry keeper stranded. The game opened up a lot after this with chances at both ends, however 3 minutes from time Sean Ryan slid a pass through for his little brother Niall to make it 2-1 to the Colts. Thanks to Chris and Keadue for a great match, John Coyle match referee, the ladies for making refreshments and all the Colts on a good team performance.

Cappry Crusaders made the trip into the Aura, Letterkenny on Saturday morning to play Letterkenny Crusaders who won the 1st Division in Letterkenny where they won all their matches. Cappry travelled with a big squad and had to split the players into 2 separate teams to ensure everybody got plenty of game time. Unfortunately, Letterkenny hadn’t the numbers they would have hoped and were only able to field 1 team. In a game where 4 quarters were played, The 1st team won their 2 quarters 1-0 and Letterkenny won the other 2 quarters 5-0. It was a very entertaining game from start to finish with some very attractive football being played. We would like to thank Letterkenny Crusaders and Eddie McGrath for hosting the game.
