Our 3rd team are starting their league campaign against St Eunans at home on the 16th of April. Time TBC. Seniors and Reserves were away to Milford on Saturday evening and unfortunately both teams came out on the wrong side on the result. The reserves took a long time to settle and found themselves 1.07 to 0.04 down at half time. In the second half they battled very hard and goals from Ross McDermott and Dylan McGlynn left just one point between the sides with 10 minutes left. Glenfin pushed hard for the equaliser but Milford hung on for the victory. Final score Milford 1.12 Glenfin 2.08. In the senior game Milford were a 04 to 01up after 13 minutes but points from Paddy O Connor and Jason Morrow left it 04 to 03. Milford then scored 4 point in the last 10 minutes of the first half to leave it 08 to 03 at half time. A Milford goal in the second half put 8 points between the sides but Glenfin never gave up and a late goal coming from David Carr just wasn’t enough leaving Milford with the points. Final score Milford 1.12 Glenfin 1.08. Both teams are home to Cloughaneely next weekend. Hard to Frank McGlynn and the Donegal Senior team who lost out to Dublin in the National Football league semi-final. Well done to Donegal ladies who beat Cavan in the league on a score line of 2.07 to 1.02. Well done to all the Glenfin ladies involved.
