Gardai have recovered a body following a search close at the Port Bridge in Letterkenny.
The search was sparked after a passer-by noticed clothing on a riverbank early this morning.
Gardai and divers spent the morning searching the area.
It is understood a body was recovered a short time ago.
Gardai have confirmed the body is that of a 22 year student from Sligo who was studying at the LYIT.
