FEATURES: One of the world’s most famous astronauts has tweeted about a Donegal Toy company that seen one of its products being sent into space!
Canadian Astronaut Chris Hadfield has sent a message of public support for Donegal based start-up, Lottie Dolls.
The Stargazer Lottie doll is in the International Space Station with British European Space Agency astronaut Tim Peake, in an effort to promote STEM and get children interested in astronomy and science, the doll was inspired by a six-year-old Canadian girl called Abigail Baker.
Chris Hadfield, who visited Donegal in 2014 – tweeted his approval after the inspiration for the Lottie Stargazer doll little Abigail was awarded a prestigious space-age award.
ARKLU are a Donegal start-up company owned by Ian Harkin, and his worldwide brand continues to go from strength-to-strength, with his Lottie products at the forefront of that success.
Commander Chris Hadfield tweeted a message of encouragement to Abigail and Lottie dolls to his 1.57 million followers.
