On the Track:
National Juvenile indoor Champ’s Day 3: Sat 19th March
Day 3 was a very exciting day for our young Rosses and Gweedore athletes, with athletes competing in the Relays and also the Shot Put. On the field Tomas Marry performed well in the U17 boys shot and although he was slightly off his pb still gained valuable experience and held his own against the cream Irelands throwers.
On the track the relays provided great excitement with the Girls U15 first up. The young team performed well in a very fast heat, and narrowly missed out on a place in the final. The U15 Boys followed suit and after an explosive first leg from Johnson Bangora held on to qualify for their final of the 4x200m. In the final the boys gave a brave performance and finished 5th overall which was a very closely contested race for medals.
