A DONEGAL player has won a small fortune on TV game show Winning Streak tonight.
Mary O’Donnell got to spin the wheel on the top RTE show to land a cool €50,000.
And she just missed out on an amazing €500,000 extra….which was in the next slot beside where the ball on the big wheel landed!
By that stage however she had already won €8,000 in cash and a car worth €25,000.
The wheel spin meant she won a total of €83,000 on the popular game show where entrants are chosen after sending in scratch card entries into the National Lottery.
Maureen O’Rourke from Ardara made it a night to remember for Donegal.
Her son Michael, who bought her the ticket which got her on the show, played for her – and he also played the fiddle for the TV audience.
Michael won €16,000 for his mum.
That took Donegal’s winnings on the show tonight to a whopping €99,000.
