DONEGAL ‘keeper Paul Durcan has added an All-Ireland club medal to his All-Ireland county medal to join a special GAA club of players who can claim to have both.
He flew in from Doha to line-put for his Dublin club team Ballyboden St Enda’s.
And he played a massive role in the stunning victory of Castlebar Mitchels with excellent kicking and a safe pair of hands throughout.
“Paul Durcan has been outstanding, kickouts on point, agility of a cat, and a monster under high ball,” boasted the AIB GAA twitter feed.
‘Boden outclassed the Mayo men to win 2-14 to 0-07.
Any chance of a comeback by Castlebar was snuffed out when Durcan pulled off a stunning save to prevent the goal that would have helped the Mayo men in the second half.
The former Four Masters man then claimed it was a wide – even though his touch had sent the ball onto the post and out for a ’45.
