A Donegal Pharmacy has brilliantly recreated what a typical chemist would’ve looked like in 1916!
McElwee’s Pharmacy in Dungloe have created a 1916 window display in their store which is located on the Main Street in Dungloe.
The fantastic display was erected by Kevin Gallagher.
The display has received positive feedback from locals who think it’s a fantastic idea.
Many who normally may have walked past because they didn’t need to go to the Pharmacy have popped in to check out the brilliant 1916 themed display.
Proprietor of the pharmacy is Gerard McElwee – and the chemist has been an institution in Dungloe for decades.
Most of the items on display are old products that Gerard’s father had when he ran the pharmacy – and other items they had collected from spending years in the Pharmaceutical industry.
Great idea and a fantastic display.
