Donegal trail Roscommon by five points at O’Donnell Park.

Allianz National League: Donegal are trailing Roscommon by five points after a hugely disappointing first-half display at O’Donnell Park.

Roscommon have been full value for their lead at the interval, and in truth should be further ahead.

They’ve caused the Donegal defence all sorts of problems – and have created three excellent goal chances.

Luckily for Rory Gallagher’s side, they haven’t taken those chances, but Donegal still trail by five points.

Roscommon raced into a early three point lead, before Patrick McBreaty got Donegal’s first point.

Roscommon then scored four unanswered points, before McBrearty scored another free.

Michael Murphy and Odhran MacNiallais scored two on the trot for Donegal, but again Roscommon kicked on again and scored three more points to lead by seven.

Michael Murphy and Patrick McBrearty got two points back for Donegal to reduce the deficit to five points at half-time.

Half-time score: Donegal 0-06 Roscommon 0-11
