Kind-hearted Seamus Coleman has donated £5,000 to help a young Everton fan fulfil his dream of seeing his favourite team in action at Goodison Park.
Daire Flanagan, 6, from Belfast suffers from a very rare condition called Apert Syndrome.
A fundraising initiative was launched to help raise £1,000 that was required to ensure that Daire was able to see his Everton heroes in action.
However, Daire’s family has been left stunned by the Donegal star’s unbelievable generosity.
The Killybegs man kindly donated £5,000 which will ensure little Daire’s dream will come true.
A spokesperson for the fundraising campaign for Daire said, “Wow I just can’t believe how well things are going in just two days – amazing people – thank you all so much, and a massive well done to Seamus Coleman for his donation – well over the moon at that such a true blue!”
Little Daire is a fighter as doctors had predicted that he may only live for 48 hours.
He is expected to make the trip at the start of next season.
Well done to Seamus Coleman, incredible gesture from an incredible footballer and person.
